We are very proud of the performance of Street Hype Newspaper during the year 2007. The support of our advertisers and readers were tremendous.
Our informal survey reveals a total readership of well over 200,000 people, including African Americans, Caribbean/Jamaicans in not just our major target areas of New
York City, but also other states including New Jersey, Connecticut and Philadelphia.
Every issue of Street Hype during 2007 was a ‘sell off.’ We carried the toughest news on legal and political matters. We reflected and highlighted the news and views of ordinary people.
We faced challenges from a small-minded distracter and competitor. The mean spirited and so called media mogul and his inept lawyer could not stop us with there frivolous $10 million lawsuit.
It cost us almost $10,000 in legal expenses, but we did our job and the victim got justice and some money in the process. During 2008, we will continue to champion the rights and needs of our people. We are about fair play, objectivity and the promotion of high moral values in all our
publications.
The staff and management of Street Hype will continue to give back to society. A number of self-empowerment programs are being planned to assist people with legal, immigration, medical and business issues. Creating partnership and alliances with other businesses and local leaders will be our main strategy to influence the community.
With continuing support from our readers and advertisers we are expecting a very successful 2008.
